About this experience

Experience Caucasus mountain dramatic summit on a full-day excursion from Tbilisi. First, explore the cultural and historical sites of Ananuri on a walking tour and then travel onward to Gudauri,  for breathtaking Caucasus views. Take a chairlift to get up on the top of mountain . 

In winter, from December to March choose the Snow Experience option. Slide down the hill and try skiing once in a lifetime on the beginner slopes – definitely a memorable experience you shouldn't miss. In Gudauri locally people will provide the equipment and supervise the activities.

Your adventure begins when a private driver and a tour guide pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi.

Jinvali, is an artificial water reservoir located on the river Aragvi in Georgia. The building of the hydroelectric dam formed the Zhinvali Reservoir.

Ananuri castle represents multifunctional architectural complex of the late feudal times in Georgia. Built on the right bank of Aragvi River in 16th-17th cc, it was the main seat of Aragvi Eristavi - Dukes dynasty since 13th c . The village Ananuri is located on the main trade rout leading to the North, to Russia and in past it was part of the Great Silk Road. Nowadays the road is called the Georgian Military Highway. The distance from Tbilisi is 74 km (1 h) - beautiful driving along the Zhinvali water reservoir damping clean and blue mountain river of Aragvi. The castle, the bell tower, three churches and beautifully carved walls are the highlights why the site is frequently visited.

The ski resort Gudauri is located in Mtskheta-Mtianeti (Georgia). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 34.8 km of slopes available. Gudauri is the largest and highest ski resort in Georgia and it continues to grow at a rapid pace. Mt. Sadzele (3,307 m) is accessed by lifts up to 3,279 m elevation. There are slopes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding and the slopes are FIS certified. The winter sports resort also lures visitors with its freeriding and heli-skiing opportunities. Large quantities of natural snow make the surrounding peaks on the border between Europe and Asia an ideal territory for powder enthusiasts. A modern ski resort for all types of skiing has developed here, in the middle of the Caucasus mountains away from mass tourism.
