Deoksugung & Doldam-gil, where modernism meets traditions

Deoksugung is one of the royal palaces remained in Seoul. It shows different mood than others. It is the only palace mixed with modernism and tradition architecture style. One side is blessed with numerous examples of late-Joseon dynasty architecture. The other side consists of two imposing neoclassical structures. Doldam-gil is the stone-wall walkway with traces of modern and contemporary history. It is known as an area for dating young couples.
