Lake Kawaguchi, situated on the border of Fujikawaguchiko and Minobu towns in southern Yamanashi Prefecture near the iconic Mount Fuji, is the second largest among the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of its expansive surface area. This picturesque locale offers captivating vistas, particularly during the cherry blossom season in spring and the autumn season on clear, crisp days.

3

Nestled within this breathtaking landscape, Arakurayama Sengen Park claims its place among the Kanto region's distinguished Top 100 destinations for admiring the majestic Mount Fuji. Its scenic allure, accompanied by the revered presence of the mountain, makes it an exquisite gem in this region's picturesque crown.

The park begins at the base of Mt. Arakurayama and extends up the mountain. At the top of a 398 stair hike is an observation deck that looks out over the cityscape of Fujiyoshida City and majestic Mt. Fuji towering above. Though the Spring sakura (cherry blossom) season is best for capturing the symbolic image of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms and five-storied pagoda, the park can be enjoyed throughout the year with a stunning view that changes with the seasons.

Free admission

4

Oshino Hakkai, a well-frequented attraction, comprises a series of eight picturesque ponds situated in the quaint village of Oshino, nestled within the Fuji Five Lake region. This charming locale rests between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako, occupying the historic grounds of a once-existent sixth lake, which gradually desiccated centuries ago.

5
Stop 5

The Hakone Ropeway is part of the Hakone Round Course, a popular way to visit Hakone. It connects Sounzan Station Cabecar with Togendai Station (at the shore of Lake Ashinoko) and stops at Owakudani and Ubako stations on the way.

Nestled amidst a backdrop of serene forests, towering mountains, and the boundless expanse of a clear blue sky, Lake Ashinoko emerges as an utterly picturesque refuge. It is frequently immortalized with its signature vermilion torii gate and the commanding silhouette of Mount Fuji gracing the horizon. Situated at the core of the hot spring haven that is Hakone, Lake Ashinoko is a haven of natural beauty.
