Mekong is the life blood of Vietnam. The mighty river is one of the longest in the world. Along with its intricate network of snaking rivers, streams and canals, it is like the veins of the human body. They carry people and goods. They feed the fertile lands that make it possible for Vietnam to grow the immense amounts of agricultural produce necessary to feed millions and sustain life in Vietnam.
No visit to Vietnam would be complete without experiencing Mekong and this special tour is unique because you get to see the countryside by van, the mighty river and islands by boat, and cycle deeper into the jungle where travel by vehicle would be very challenging or impossible. This tour takes you off the beaten path to meet locals and learn about their “water hyacinth” lifestyle.

From here we head to the wharf to board a traditional sampan.
Our next stop is Kirin Island where you can sample freshly baked coconut candy and honey which tastes of the island’s rich and diverse flora. We will break briefly in the shade to taste rich, seasonal tropical fruits and listen to folk music, performed by local artists.
