About this experience

This is also the site of the highest Court in the Land is located. We will drive you through Braamfontein and over the Nelson Mandela Bridge to the Central Business District of Johannesburg and explore what makes this thriving city unique. Then we head to Soweto to discover this amazing township which is home to two Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and the site of the June 16, Soweto Uprising.

Stop 1

The seat of the highest court in the Republic of South Africa, this precinct is a former prison infamously known as Number Four, Mahatma Gandhi was held here and Nelson Mandela.

Stop 2

The home of Nelson Mandela in Soweto, on a a World Famous street called Vilakazi Street, where the Archbishop Desmond Tutu as has a house.

Soweto 1976, we stop at the Hector Pieterson Memorial, to learn about the history that changed the course of South African History.

The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dealing with 20th century South Africa, at the heart of which is the apartheid story.

The Apartheid Museum, the first of its kind, illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid.

An architectural consortium, comprising several leading architectural firms, conceptualised the design of the building on a seven-hectare stand. The museum is a superb example of design, space and landscape offering the international community a unique South African experience.
