Meet at the flagpole in front of historic Union Station on Wynkoop Street located in lower downtown Denver.

Drive up into the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado and follow the footsteps of the pioneers and miners on their quest for a new life and trying to strike it rich. See wonderful mountain views and rugged canyons.

Travel through this beautiful rugged mountain canyon following Clear Creek and the gold rush trail of 1859. Look for Bighorn Sheep on the steep canyon walls and rock climbers.

Walk down the historic streets of Central City, what was once considered the richest square mile on earth during the 1859 Pikes Peak or Bust Gold Rush Days. Visit a real ghost town from the boom times.

Take a tour in a real gold mine. Learn about old and new mining techniques. Experience what it was like to be a hard rock miner back in the 1860's in Colorado. * Either the Phoenix or Capitol Prize Mine will be visited but not both*

Meeting point

Pick up and drop off are in Lower Downtown Denver in front of the Historic Union Station on Wynkoop St. at the flagpole in front of the Union Station & the Crawford Hotel at 1701 Wynkoop St. Denver. Meeting times are 8:15 am for the morning tour and 12:15 pm for the afternoon tour.

• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended and parts of the mine can be a little muddy wear shoes that clean easily
• The mine is cool inside year round we recommend a light jacket for comfort
• We will walk inside the mine be aware there are some small spaces that may require you to duck your head.  Hard hats are provided.
• Minimum numbers apply. There is a small possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
• The weather in Colorado changes quickly, we recommend dressing in layers, comfortable walking shoes and bringing a light jacket for warmth, snow or rain.
