About this experience

Fantastic half-day tour to the foothills outside of Denver! You will enjoy exploring the majesty of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater and the geological wonders of the area. Stroll the historic main street of Golden and enjoy shopping, local breweries, or a scenic walk along the Clear Creek Trail. Then you will Travel up 2000 feet (610m) on the Lariat Trail Scenic and Historic Byway to the top of Lookout Mountain while viewing a breathtaking panorama. Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave (admission included). Tour is limited to a maximum of 12 travelers.

Your tour begins where you will meet your driver/guide in front of Historic Union Station in Downtown Denver

Stop 2

You will then travel up to the beautiful foothills of Colorado passing by Dinosaur Ridge and geological wonders on your way to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater.  Inside the park, you'll witness the majesty and beauty of the geological wonders that surround you. Then enjoy a walk into the only naturally acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world where many music legends have played. Also visit the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.

See fossilized dinosaur bones in the rocks and hear about this amazing paleontology discovery

Enjoy everything downtown Historic Golden has to offer. There are many treasures from the walking trail along Clear Creek lined with bronze sculptures and historic structures, to local breweries, antique shops, outdoor retailers, and more

Your tour continues up the Lariat Loop as you travel 2,000 feet (610m) up to the top of Lookout Mountain while viewing a breathtaking 200-mile view (320km) panorama.

At the top of Lookout Mountain, you may tour the Buffalo Bill Museum and grave. See memorabilia from his world-famous Wild West Show that included celebrities such as Annie Oakley and Sitting Bull.

Your Driver/Guide will greet you at the flag pole in front of Union Station and the Crawford Hotel(1701 Wynkoop St). Meeting times are 8:15 am for the morning tour and 12:15 pm for the afternoon tour. Our touring vans have our round Colorado Sightseer logo on the rear side panels.
