About this experience

Travel up exciting Pikes Peak Highway (admission included) to the 14,115 foot summit of Americas Mountain while enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the way. Witness the same views that inspired Katherine Lee Bates to write America the Beautiful in 1893. Visit Historic Manitou Springs.  Sample 1000-year-old natural mineral spring soda water while in town from one of the many historic fountains or play vintage games at the penny arcade and enjoy lunch and shopping on your own. Then tour the majestic  Garden of the Gods park while surrounded by towering ancient rock formations and grand views of Pikes Peak. Enjoy a walk down one of the trails through the park and get up close with the beautiful nature and geology. Stop at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center and tour the museum exhibits before heading back to Denver.

Climb up Americas Mountain to the Summit at 14,115feet if conditions allow Enjoying beautiful views and look for wildlife as you make your way up. Visit the beautiful Pikes Peak Summit Visitors Center where you can try one of their famous donuts while taking in the 360 degree panoramic views that inspired Katherine Lee Bates to write America the Beautiful in 1893.

Spend time shopping and having lunch on your own in this delightful mountain town at the base of Pikes Peak. Sample ancient natural spring water from historic fountains around town and feel like a kid again playing games in the penny arcade if you like.

We meet guests at the flagpole in front of Union Station and the Crawford Hotel at 1701 Wynkoop Street where 17th and Wynkoop Streets come together. Meeting time: 8:15 am. Our touring vans have our round Colorado Sightseer logo on the rear side panels.
