Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel In Alexandria to start your tour. First visit the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.

You will also drive by Pompay’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)

We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.

Next stop is the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world –Visit it’s open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby.

You will visit president Saddat Museum and impressions of Alexandria Museum.

Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.

The Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial is dedicated to unknown soldiers who lost their lives in sea battles. It was originally designed as a memorial to Khedive Ismail.

The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa. Through your drive you will see the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.

En route, you will pass by the renowned Stanley Bridge, a modern landmark that stands as a symbol of contemporary Alexandria.

Stop 10

The car will then take you to visit Montazah Palace Gardens, the royal gardens of King Farouk, the last king in Egypt's history. You'll have the opportunity to pause for a photo by King Farouk's royal palace, as well as explore the royal beaches of the queens.
