About this experience
Vesuvius is one of only two active volcanoes in continental Europe and stands approximately 1281 meters high, with a symmetrical central cone and steep, forested slopes. The entire Vesuvius National Park is beautiful and productive, dotted with small farms and wineries grown with ancient varieties that boast a unique terroir. A visit to the crater is a must and every year tourists from all over the world climb the path to peer into its depths. First we will have a delicious lunch, then we will drive to a height of 1,000 meters, you will climb to the crater with a 20 minute walk. From here you can admire the wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples on the horizon and walk on one of the still active craters in Europe.
Don't forget to bring your camera, a jacket (even in summer) and wear comfortable shoes.
Finally, return to Naples to your hotel.
