About this experience

Cycle through the beautiful Dutch countryside and along the stunning tulip and Spring flower fields in this 3.5 hour small group cycling tour.  Departing from Alkmaar's city centre, your guide will take you out into the flower growing area located only a few kilometres away, staying on dedicated cycle paths as much as possible.  This is a must see for anyone who has ever wanted to experience the beauty of Spring in the Netherlands!

**Please note that bike rental is not included in the cost of the tour**

Bike helmets are not available to rent. If you want to wear a helmet then you must bring one with you.
All participants will be required to complete a Liability Waiver prior to the tour's commencement
Tours will be cancelled if a weather warning has been issued within 24 hours of the tour or if the winds exceed 29km/hr or 4 on the scale of Beaufort.
Please dress appropriately for the tour. Bikes include small bags where you can store belongings.
Participants must be physically fit enough to confidently cycle +/-20km

Meeting point

The tour will depart from near the entrance to the Stedelijke museum in Alkmaar's city centre. Your guide will be standing with a sign that says 'Alkmaar Tours'.
The museum in approximately 10 mins walk away from the Alkmaar Train Station. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of your tour.

Important notes

• Comfortable clothing and shoes that can get muddy are recommended.  Rain gear as necessary.
• Minimum age is 16 years
• Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions or anyone with a medical condition that would prohibit cycling for 20km.
• Bringing water and a light refreshment is recommended
• Helmets are not supplied and it is not possible to rent a helmet.  If you wish to wear a helmet then you must bring one with you.
• Tours will be cancelled if a weather warning has been issued within 24 hours of the tour or if the winds exceed 29km/hr or 4 on the scale of Beaufort.
• The tour will still operate in rain.  Please make sure you are dressed appropriately
• The rental bike will have small bags where you can store your belongings.
