The Maras Salt Mines, or Salineras de Maras, are a stunning network of more than 3,000 salt ponds on the mountainside of the Sacred Valley. These pools have been used since pre-Inca times and are still harvested today using traditional methods, creating a dazzling white landscape that contrasts beautifully with the Andean mountains.
