About this experience

Our driver will collect you from your hotel/apartment in Kraków than drive straight to the Salt Mine.

On the spot he will buy tickets for you and make sure that you will join right group and guide - maximum size of the group in salt mine is 30 persons.

English tour takes about 2h30 - 3h, 

Please wait in the reception in your hotel or outside if you stay in apartment.

The mine, built in the 13th century, produced table salt continuously until 2007, as one of the world’s oldest salt mines still in operation.

The mine’s attractions include dozens of statues, three chapels and an entire cathedral that has been carved out of the rock salt by the miners.

Useful information:

There are 20 chambers to visit – the Chapel of St. King is the most brilliant one.

The visit is always conducted under the supervision of a guide.

Temperature underground ranges between 14° and 16° C

There are 800 steps to climb of which 350 at the beginning take you down into the mine. Wear comfortable shoes.
