Detailed itinerary

1

Monteith’s Brewing Company has been part of the West Coast for over 150 years. While brewing no longer happens on site, our Greymouth location is now a world-class visitor attraction celebrating our beer heritage. This 45minute guided experience is a backstage pass to our architecturally designed brewhouse, where you'll hear local stories, explore historic recipes, and see the gear that once brought Monteith’s to life. You'll learn how we brewed our famous beers, then finish with a tasting session exploring beer by smell, sight, and taste - followed by three Monteith’s tap beers or ciders with tasting notes. You’ll also get a Monteith’s 6-pack to take away. Your passport includes discounts for West Coast attractions like Franz Josef Hot Pools, Treetop Walk, and Shantytown Heritage Park. Tours depart daily at 4pm from Monteith’s Brewery, 60 Herbert Street Greymouth. The experience lasts approx. 45 minutes. Monteith’s is wheelchair friendly and child tour passes are available at the bar.
