Imagine being able to hand feed Cownose Sting Rays on a privately escorted Aquarium tour!
This VIP experience offers you a fully guided tour with a Wildlife Educator through the Cairns Aquarium and also the behind-the-scenes workings, with views and explanations of the fish food preparation room, innovative plant and equipment that filters the millions of litres of water on site, coral propagation facilities and a stop at the onsite turtle hospital to see how we care for and rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles. You will also enjoy a scatter feed to the outback river monsters and hand feed the gentle Cownose rays as well as a look at the onsite reptile breeding facility.

Get the most from your day at Cairns Aquarium with a Marine Life Encounter experience! You’ll be met by one of our passionate wildlife educator guides, who will personally escort you on an exclusive guided tour through the Aquarium and also Behind-the-Scenes. You will see how the Aquarium cares for its marine life and get a look into quarantine section and animal food preparation room. You will also enjoy a exclusive hand feeding session of the Cownose Sting Rays which takes place amidst circling predators of the Coral Sea on a specially designed feeding platform. This is followed by a scatter feed of the Freshwater Rays and Barramundi. You also get to enjoy a visit to the Cairns Turtle Hospital and view the onsite reptile breeding facility.
