Detailed itinerary

Morning pickup from Bodhgaya City Hotels. Then drive to Rajgir (approx. 2-hour drive) and variours monasteries such as:

On arrival visit to VISHWA SHANTI STUPA and VULTURE'S PEAK OR GRIDDHAKUTA, at the top of Ratnagiri hill, where Lord Buddha preached many inspiring sermons, a Peace Pagoda has been built by the Buddha Sangh of Japan.
Note: There are two ways to reach Vishwa Shanti Stupa and Vulture's Peak (Gridhakuta). One option is to take the ropeway and then climb 200 steps to reach Gridhakuta. The second option is to walk, which takes about an hour to reach the top.

VENU VAN features lush greenery and a peaceful environment, offering visitors a glimpse into ancient monastic life. It literally a 'Bamboo Forest', is a historical park associated with Buddha. The park was gifted by the Magadha King Bimbisar to Lord Buddha about 2500 years ago. There is a small pond known as Karandak Tank inside the park.

BIMBISARA PRISON (Drive pass) features a series of rock-cut caves and is known for its historical significance and scenic views.

Tour continues, drive to RUINS OF NALANDA UNIVERSITY about 30-minute drive. The site features impressive ruins of the university complex, including monasteries, classrooms, and libraries. Nalanda was a hub of Buddhist scholarship and attracted scholars from across Asia. Today, the ruins offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient education and culture, making it an important archaeological and spiritual destination.

Also visit NALANDA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM (closed on Friday) showcases an impressive collection of ancient artifacts, sculptures, and manuscripts, offering a fascinating glimpse into the rich history of the Nalanda University

Xuan Zang Memorial Hall the memorial is a symbol of cultural exchange and peace, featuring exhibits that detail Xuanzang's travels, studies, and his pivotal role in the spread of Buddhism.

Later drive back to Bodhgaya which approx. 2-hour drive. And drop to your stay in Bodhgaya.
