This tour departs from Penneshaw, American River and Kingscote hotels, and you will need to select your departure option at time of booking. NOTE: Tour returns to Penneshaw at 6.15pm, so may not be suitable for Cruise Ship passengers.
Departs KI Seafront Hotel: Departs KI Seafront Hotel at 10:00am, and returns at 6:15pm. Exact pick up time will be advised on re-confirmation.
Departs Mercure KI Lodge: Departs Mercure KI Lodge at 10:15am, and returns at 7:30pm. Exact pick up time will be advised on re-confirmation.
Departs Ozone Hotel, Kingscote: Departs Aurora Ozone Hotel at 10:00am, and returns at 8:00pm. Exact pick up time will be advised on re-confirmation.
KI Transfers will transfer you from your hotel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to meet the SeaLink Tour coach which departs from Penneshaw.
Your first official stop will be the fascinating Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain for an educational, interactive, and inspiring experience. The only Free Flight Birds of Prey Presentation in South Australia, it is thought by many to be the most interactive Birds of Prey display in Australia. The option to have your photo taken holding the wedge-tailed eagle may be available for an additional cost.
Next, travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious 2-course lunch followed by an introductory talk about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. Finish off with some free time in their souvenir shop where you will find an assortment of Eucalyptus products. An optional cider tasting is available for a small fee.
Join a guided tour and see a working beehive where you can try to spot the Queen bee. Learn about the different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey, sample honey beauty products and purchase goods to take home as a memento.
Continue to Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast of Kangaroo Island for a photo opportunity.
Discover the new False Cape Wines cellar door which is made from recycled wood, jetty timbers and limestone sourced on the property. Here you can take part in a structured wine tasting while enjoying the peaceful views of the surrounding vineyards.
At the end of your tour in Penneshaw, you will have time to buy some dinner, before meeting the SeaLink Shuttle at the Ferry Terminal that departs at 7pm for your transfer back to American River or Kingscote.
