Pickup included
We will begin our adventure around 8:00 AM traveling for an hour along the famous Pan American Route.
We will continue pick up in Puerto Montt until 8:45 AM, later continue the traveling along the Pan American Route to the town of Pargua, where we will embark on a ferry that will take us to Chacao.
From this place we will board a ferry to navigate through the Chacao Channel, which separates the mainland from the Isla Grande de Chiloé. During the navigation (45 minutes) we will be able to observe sea lions, pelicans and marine birds typical of this region.
We will dock at Chacao town, is one of the oldest on the island, founded in 1567. It has a Plaza de Armas where we can appreciate typical larch wood constructions and also see the church of San Antonio de Chacao.
After this we will continue in the direction of the Caulín sector, where there is an intertidal wetland that allows the feeding of different types of birds during the year such as Black-necked Swans, Herons and Flamingos (the latter in winter periods).
We will arrive at the Puñihuil beach, where we will board a boat that will take us to the islets where the Magellanic and Humboldt penguins are found (40 minutes of navigation, ticket not included). It should be noted that it was declared a National Monument for its ecological importance.
We will arrive at the city of Ancud, where we will visit the Local Museum, the Municipal Market and the Fort of San Antonio; Historical complex located in the upper part of the city, built at the end of the 18th century and which is part of one of the last Spanish fortifications in our country.
While touring these places we will listen to the stories and myths of one of the largest islands in South America, mythological and magical stories that will be told by our guides and will take us to the interesting world of the unknown that surrounds Chiloé.
