We leave from the meeting point in San Pedro de Atacama.
We take the route that connects it with the village of Calama, crossing the Cordillera de la Sal. After approximately 25 km of travelling, we will find a group of seven incredible salt water lagoons, known as the Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache, because of the difficulty of accessing them.
The Baltinache Lagoons are characterised by their great scenic beauty, thanks to the transparency of their waters, which also have a very high salinity level, producing a flotation effect when swimming in them (as happens with the Cejar Lagoon and the Dead Sea). You will be able to take a relaxing salt bath and float in its waters, while enjoying the incredible scenery. You can only swim in the first and last of the lagoons. They have bathroom and shower facilities.
After sharing a nice lunch, we will come back through the salt mountain range, geographically unique, and you will be told about its history. We will end the tour with a cocktail while appreciating the impressive view of Valle Marte and its desert.
We suggest you to confirm the booking details with us prior to travel, or upon arrival at your destination. Please note that departure times and locations may vary slightly.
