Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco, and go towards Mollepata, a district in the province of Anta, 55 miles away from the city. We will enjoy an energetic breakfast.
The road continues until reach Soraypampa (3,920 masl), our starting trek point.
Here, our professional guide will give to us a short briefing about the tour before starting the trek. The adventure starts walking upwards, and along a 1.5 hours of hike, we will be surrounded by amazing views, and with the opportunity to admire different native plants, and wildlife such as horses, sheeps, Andean foxes, vizcachas, among others.
Upon reaching the highest point at 4,200 M.A.S.L., we are going to enjoy a spectacular landscape of Lake Humantay. The Lake Humantay will impress you with its crystalline waters, amazing viewpoints, and its perfect combination of mountains and glacier peaks. This lake is formed by the thawing of two snow-capped mountains: Humantay and Salkantay.
After watching this awesome place, we will hike back to the starting point, to have a well-deserved Andean lunch. After that, we will back to the city of Cusco and drop you off at the hotel.
