On this tour, we will get to know the serenity of this town, considered a true oasis of calm on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Just 40 km from Punta del Este, this 5-hour tour will take you through picturesque places such as La Barra, Manantiales, El Chorro, Balneario Buenos Aires, Punta Piedras and of course, José Ignacio. During the journey, you will discover fascinating secrets about the sea and its inhabitants, while enjoying the peace that José Ignacio offers. Plus, you'll marvel at the contrast between the opulence of the international jet-set and the authenticity of the local fishermen.
Pickup included
After being picked up from your hotel in the center of Punta del Este, we will take Route 10, parallel to the seashore, allowing us to enjoy stunning views.
We will pass by the Montoya and Bikini Beaches, the Springs Terraces.
Finally we will arrive at José Ignacio, where in a wild and unforgettable landscape, fishermen coexist with the rich and famous.
We will visit the José Ignacio Lighthouse, the Main Square, the Amphitheater, and the Parish of "Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception".
Continuing, we will walk along the walk of the artisans and we will discover the Lagoons of José Ignacio and Garzón, offering a wonderful landscape.
Later, we will have time for lunch (not included) and on the way back to Punta del Este, we will visit the Museo del Mar (entrance NOT included).
This museum contains perhaps the largest exhibited collection in the world, more than 5000 specimens that one never imagined having seen, marine fauna of the place and the world, Marine Snails, Corals, Sea Horses, Urchins, Starfish, Crabs, Skeletons of Whale, Turtle Shells, Shark Jaws and much more.
