The Primitive Convent: Here the first Franciscan settlement (the "primitive convent") was built, consisting of wooden and lime DA cells still intact today. These cells are a rare testimony of the early stage of Franciscan hermit life.
The Original Cells: The seven cells of the first settlement are still visible and offer a rigorous testimony to the poverty and essentiality of the Franciscan Rule.
The Cave: The cave where the Poor Man of Assisi retired in prayer and penance (original core of the Hermitage).
The Well of St. Francis: A small spring that, according to legend, the Saint miraculously gushed from the rock to quench his thirst.
