Located within the Kilim Geopark, Gua Kelawar, also known as the Bat Cave, is one of Langkawi’s most fascinating natural attractions. The cave sits deep within the mangrove forest and is accessible only by boat, adding a sense of adventure to your journey.

Upon arrival, you’ll follow a wooden walkway that winds through dense mangrove trees before entering the mysterious limestone cave. Inside, thousands of fruit bats hang quietly from the ceiling, creating a captivating sight. Your guide will explain how these bats play an important role in maintaining the mangrove ecosystem.
As you explore, you’ll also observe unique limestone formations, ancient stalactites and stalagmites, and learn about the cave’s geological history. Outside the cave, you can enjoy a scenic view of the mangrove channels, mudflats, and coastal wildlife—a perfect spot for photos and nature appreciation.
