About this experience

This one-day tour is the perfect excursion for guests looking for a fascinating day in the beautiful countryside along the banks of the river Loire. You will enjoy the lively atmosphere of a colourful market (Wednesdays & Sundays) and also discover the delicious goat's cheeses that contribute to the fame of the region. You can visit the historic riverside town of la Charité-sur-Loire and its famous 12C Benedictine priory. Furthermore, the tour will take you to the historic hilltop town of Sancerre and is the perfect introduction to the world-class Sauvignon blanc wines of the Central Loire Valley. You will also discover the vineyards of Pouilly-sur-Loire where a visit to a local wine maker will be your opportunity to taste and learn all about another household name in Sauvignon blanc wines, the wonderful Pouilly Fumé. And red wine lovers, please do not despair, the region also producers some great pinots, especially from around Sancerre.
