The tour starts at 8:30 AM from Sapa town. We begin trekking along a scenic trail down to Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages. Along the way, travelers can see buffaloes, horses, indigo plants, and admire the magnificent rice terraces of the Hoang Lien Son range. We’ll stop at several short viewpoints with stunning scenery for photos, rest, and fresh mountain air.
At Lao Chai (Muong Hoa Valley), you’ll see a clear stream, beautiful terraces, and learn how the Black H’mong people dye indigo and weave fabrics. After the visit, enjoy a local lunch at a family house with traditional dishes. Guests will have about 30 minutes to relax before a car takes you back to Sapa. Total trekking distance: around 9 km.

Explore the breathtaking Muong Hoa Valley on a full-day trekking tour from Sapa town. Begin your journey with a short drive to Y Linh Ho, then walk through stunning rice terraces and mountain landscapes. Along the trail, you will visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, home to the Black H’mong and Giay ethnic groups. At noon, have a delicious local lunch at a family homestay, where you can relax and experience true local hospitality. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email from Viator with your booking details. Please check your email carefully for the meeting time and place. On the day of the tour, our local guide will meet you at Sapa Stone Church (in front of the main gate) at 8:30 AM. Look for the guide wearing traditional H’mong clothes and holding a small sign with your name.
Please bring your booking confirmation (on phone or printed) to verify your reservation. No need to print the ticket if you have it on your phone.
If your hotel or homestay is within 2 km of Sapa town, we can arrange free pickup. For hotels outside this area, please come directly to the meeting point or contact us for pickup arrangements (an extra small fee may apply).
