Your visit begins with a warm welcome from the Hill Tribe Elephant Village team, who introduce the rescued elephants and share their individual histories and daily care routines. Travelers can observe caretakers preparing the elephants’ herbal supplements and learn how proper nutrition and enrichment contribute to long-term wellbeing.
You will then continue on an observation-focused walk through the forest, keeping a safe and respectful distance as the elephants forage, explore, and interact naturally with their caretakers. Throughout the walk, your guides explain key behaviors, social dynamics, and the sanctuary’s commitment to high animal-welfare standards.
Located on Hasippee Road, in the hills behind Patong City Centre. Follow the concrete road up about 200 meters to the entrance with our elephant village sign. Staff in blue Hill Tribe Elephant Village shirts will welcome you at the reception.
