Duration: 5 hours
Before and after the walk we'll have an opportunity to have lunch and coffee at one of the nice restaurants or cafes of Sigulda. (Meals are not included in price)
After we'll pass the New and Old Sigulda Calstle to enter Gauja National Park, we'll go down to the river and in a slow paced walk along the forest trails you'll have an opportunity to get a portrait, family photo or nature scene on analog media taken with old medium or large format camera. We'll visit some sandstone grottos and and small rivers that will cross our paths on their way to big river. When we'll climb up the stairs before exiting the Park, we'll have a small stop at Gleznotājkalns and enjoy the view of the Gauja valley. After that we'll go back to the parking lot near the Sigulda Castle.
On our way back we'll go up the stairs of Gleznotājkalns (Painter's Hill) and have a stop there to enjoy the view. It is also a good place for making postcard photos for memories.
Before entering the Nature Park we'll pass by the ruins of Old Sigulda Castle.
