Detailed itinerary

1

Start your trip with a ferry ride from Mumbai to Mandwa jetty, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and quiet coastal views.

2

Arrive at Mandwa Jetty and begin your drive toward Korlai village.

3

Start your Korlai village walk at an 18th-century Portuguese church.
Later, step inside the 350-year-old Madrid Mansion — a beautifully preserved Portuguese-style home still lived in by the Madrid family.
Hear stories of their Portuguese and Spanish lineage, and join a handful of village ladies who still speak the old Portuguese Creole, and listen as they sing ancient hymns kept alive through memory and melody.
Continue through the dusty lanes, meet the locals, and discover traditional homes filled with generations of memories and stories.

4

Make a quick stop at the 18th-century Portuguese fort — learn its history, wander through its weathered walls, and capture a few photos.
Later, drive through Revdanda village to see its beautiful traditional homes lined along the coast.

5

Enjoy a delicious Coastal Thali featuring an elaborate spread of traditional recipes cooked on wood fire. Savor seasonal produce, local ingredients, and indigenous chutneys and salads, all served on a fresh banana leaf.
Choose between a vegetarian or non-vegetarian meal.

6

After lunch, take a heritage walk in Chaul, one of Alibaug’s oldest coastal villages.
Visit a local homemade chikki unit, meet the family behind the craft, and learn how their small business has grown over generations.
Stroll through the old lanes of Chaul and arrive at your hands-on workshop space. Learn to weave artifacts from coconut leaves and carry home a souvenir you made yourself.
End with a visit to a traditional home and step into their backyard, where indigenous plants and old fruit trees quietly preserve the village’s natural heritage.

7

Start your drive back to the Mandwa Jetty terminal (~1 hr). Board your ferry and sail back to Mumbai.

8

Arrive at the Mumbai jetty and transfer back to your hotel.
