Once you reach the summit, you have several routes to choose from, but we recommend two:
Route A(6-8km, 3-4h):
Walk from Tower 14 to Tower 20 to reach the best viewpoints of Mutianyu with the most beautiful scenery and fewer tourists. Learn about the history, defense system, and unique features of Mutianyu, then return to Tower 14 to descend. You will reach the highest point of Mutianyu Great Wall, where the final section has a steep slope of up to 70 degrees, requiring certain physical fitness.
Route B(4km,2.5h)
Walking from watchtower 14 to watchtower 6, this section of the route is gentler compared to the Route A, making it ideal for visitors who prefer not to tackle steep paths. Along the way, you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of rolling green hills. Finally, you can choose to descend by chairlift or toboggan. Suitable for adults and kids.
