About this experience

Your journey starts at the famous Hegra (Madain Saleh), the first Saudi UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as Al-Hijr or Hegra in Greek, it was the southernmost major city of the Nabatean Kingdom, which thrived on caravan trade from the 2nd century BCE to the Roman conquest in 106 CE. Hegra is the second richest Nabatean city, boasting 94 decorated tombs showcasing their architectural mastery. We’ll explore its tombs, inscriptions, and stone marvels.
