Montserrat, the mountain range in Catalonia, Spain About 50 km northwest of Barcelona. The highest point, Sant Jeroni, reaches 1,236 meters (4,055 ft). It Offers spectacular views, a funicular railway, a cable car (Aeri de Montserrat), and many hiking trails — including routes up to the peaks of Sant Jeroni, Sant Joan, and Cavall Bernat.

The Pyrenees are a majestic mountain range forming a natural border between Spain and France, stretching from the Bay of Biscay (Atlantic Ocean) to the Mediterranean Sea. They’re one of Europe’s great mountain systems — wilder and less developed than the Alps.
