Detailed itinerary

1

Around 11:00 PM – 12:30 AM, our team will pick you up from your accommodation in Banyuwangi. Before heading to the hiking point, all participants will undergo a brief health check as required by local government regulations. Once completed, the journey continues to Paltuding Post, the starting point of the hike.

2

Paltuding is the starting point of the Ijen hike, located at the base of the mountain within the Ijen Plateau. Here, travelers will meet their guide, receive safety gear like gas masks and headlamps, and prepare for the trek. The cool mountain air and quiet surroundings set the tone for the adventure ahead, as hikers begin their ascent toward the famous Ijen Crater and its mesmerizing Blue Fire.

3

At Mount Ijen, travelers will embark on a scenic hike through cool mountain trails surrounded by lush forests and volcanic terrain. As they ascend, they’ll enjoy panoramic views of East Java’s highlands and nearby peaks. Reaching the summit rewards them with stunning vistas of the Ijen Crater below, a breathtaking combination of volcanic energy and natural beauty that makes the journey truly worth it.

Stop 4

At Ijen Crater, travelers will witness one of nature’s most unique sights, a vast turquoise acid lake set within a rugged volcanic landscape. As the sun rises, the colors of the crater shift beautifully, revealing steaming vents and mineral-rich cliffs. The area’s surreal beauty and otherworldly atmosphere make it a truly unforgettable highlight of East Java.

5

The Blue Fire of Ijen is a rare natural phenomenon found only in a few places on Earth. Visible in the dark before sunrise, it’s caused by burning sulfur gases that create glowing blue flames along the crater’s surface. Travelers will descend into the crater with a guide to witness this otherworldly sight up close, an unforgettable moment that makes the Ijen hike truly one of a kind.

6

After completing the hike, Paltuding is the perfect place to rest and unwind. Travelers can relax with a warm drink or local snacks sold by small stalls around the area while taking in the fresh mountain air. It’s also a great time to chat with fellow hikers, reflect on the experience, and enjoy the peaceful scenery before heading back to Banyuwangi or continuing their journey through East Java.
