On this tour we explore the island's most unspoilt area, the peninsula of Akamas. Due to its mountainous nature, and the fact that it is a protected national park, there are no tarmac roads running through its heartland. Its coastal area is characterized by gulfs and coves, capes and points, beaches and tiny isles. In the south we walk a gorge, visit the Green Turtle's hatchery and swim in crystal clear waters. To the north we visit the Mythological Baths of Aphrodite, and in between, we explore the "lesser travelled" back roads and visit surrounding villages, meet local folk and get to enjoy local cuisine. This is a full day excursion. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Don't forget your swimwear.
This tour can be altered for other activities such as wine tasting and/or visits to villages and surrounding historical sites.
