About this experience

Your professional photographer will guide you through the timeless beauty of Shinjuku Gyoen’s Japanese garden, where history, culture, and nature come together in perfect harmony. Gentle pathways, elegant ponds, and carefully crafted landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.

Whether you’re a couple celebrating your love, a family traveling with children, or friends marking a special trip together, this private photo session is designed for you. It’s also ideal for once-in-a-lifetime occasions such as birthdays, proposals, or honeymoon memories.

You’ll receive over 30 fully retouched photos (often many more), creating a lasting keepsake of your time in Japan—something to treasure long after your trip.

The garden is reserved exclusively for your photo session, with no tourists or other groups inside. Only your team and occasional garden staff may be present.

Photos will be delivered via a designated Google Drive link within 10 days of the shoot.

Photos will be delivered in JPEG format with a minimum short side of 2,400 pixels, and will be color-adjusted for brightness, white balance, and tone.

The service is primarily conducted in English. If you require another language, please let us know at the time of booking. We will arrange a photographer who can communicate in that language or use a translation device.

This plan includes photography services only and does not cover kimono or costume arrangements.

All copyrights to the photos belong to our company. You can use the photos freely for non-commercial purposes. If the photos include subjects with third-party rights, you must obtain all necessary permissions for photography and use, at your own responsibility.

We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service. If we are held responsible, our liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the service.

Even if you arrive late, the shooting time will not be extended. We are not responsible if the number of delivered photos falls below the estimated amount.

This service is governed by the laws of Japan.

Your personal information will be managed appropriately in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and will be shared with the photographer only as necessary for the shoot.

By completing your reservation, you are deemed to have agreed to all details stated in the "Additional Info" of this service.

If the photographer does not show up at the scheduled time, or if the shoot must be canceled for safety reasons—such as severe weather warnings issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency—this policy does not apply. In such cases, please contact us separately for assistance.

Changes are not permitted after the booking is confirmed, unless explicitly agreed upon by both the customer and our company.

Please note that an agreement between the customer and the photographer alone does not constitute a valid change.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled activity will incur a 100% cancellation fee, regardless of the reason (including weather conditions or personal health).

You are not allowed to directly arrange the shoot or booking with the assigned photographer outside of this service, including through third-party platforms.

You are free to share and publish the photos from this session. However, we kindly require that you state that professional photography is normally not permitted in Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

There are no trash bins inside the garden, so please take your garbage with you.

The lawns and plants are carefully maintained by the garden staff, so please avoid trampling or causing any damage.

The session will proceed in light rain, but may be canceled in case of heavy rain. A final decision will be made 2 days before the shoot.

Meeting point

There is a special management gate located in front of the Shinjuku 1-chome South intersection, which we use to enter Shinjuku Gyoen during non-public hours (when the garden is closed to the public).
