Stop 1

Get picked up from your hotel at 6am in the morning and proceed to Lodhi Garden, spread over an area of 90 acres, containing the heroic tomb of Mohammed Shah and Sikander Lodi. You’ll meet your energetic yoga teacher here, who will give you an introduction to Yogic science and begin with some warm up exercises. Your teacher will teach you about the basics of Yoga and proceed with a session of Pranayama, a breathing exercise believed to cleanse the body from inside. Learn about and participate in the essential practice of Ha-Tha yoga, where Ha refers to the energy of Sun and Tha refers to the energy of Moon. Understand the 12 basic asanas (postures) that will lead to a balancing of the two energies in one’s body and will help attain inner peace and equilibrium. Learn to do the Surya Namaskar, the most essential of all yoga postures and experience the strength of Vippassna meditation, taught to the world by Buddha. The session is open to questions and your yoga teacher will be happy to answer your doubts and provide you with detailed explanations. As the sun starts to heat up, relax in the garden for a while and then get dropped off back to your hotel by 10am.
