We are Libby and Zak Bound, a Falkland Islands-based couple with a deep passion for our incredible islands and their fascinating historical polar history. Zak is particularly connected to this rich heritage as the son of Mensun Bound, a renowned marine archaeologist born in the Falkland Islands. Mensun made history in 2022 when he was tasked with finding Sir Ernest Shackleton's legendary ship, Endurance, in the Weddell Sea, an achievement that has captivated a worldwide audience, adding another remarkable chapter to the region's storied past.
Throughout this journey, you'll be taken through rugged terrain, picturesque coastlines, and secluded areas that hold deep historical value. Each step you take will connect you to Shackleton’s incredible legacy, intertwining the natural beauty of the Falklands with gripping stories of human perseverance, resilience, and triumph in the face of unimaginable adversity. The tour will also include an exclusive visit to Mensun Bound's house, where guests will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy tea and coffee in the Shackleton Room.
