Focusing on the history and artistry of the two magnificent properties, both former high end hotels opened in 1889. They were developed by Gilded Age oil magnate Henry Flagler. We will tour the art collection and new shows in The Lightner Museum, learning about the architecture, the uses of different spaces, and the artists who were Gilded Age experts. We will then tour the courtyard and lobby of Flagler college and learn about the former Hotel Ponce de Leon. Both hotels are full of details that only a discussion, and SLOW LOOKING analysis reveal. We’ll laugh a lot too, because your guide is not too reverent about what a concentration of wealth in America can do.
Enter The Lightner Museum and meet guide Jule Meyer in the OUTER lobby near the painting of Otto Lightner. Wait to buy your museum ticket until you meet with guide (special discount).
You will meet your guide Jule and with her, you will purchase your admission ticket for a deeply discounted rate.
