Savoca is a city that stands a few kilometers from Taormina, and is famous all over the world because it was one of the sets of the famous movie “The Godfather” si Francis Ford Coppola. You will live the Vitelli bar, Piazza Fossia, the church of San Nicolò and the Mother Church of Savoca.

Taormina is the Pearl of the Mediterranean for its cultural heritage, the result of many influences and dominations throughout history.
Among the various beauties, the Greco-Roman theater, represents the symbol of the city and one of the main monuments inherited from Magna Graecia. You will also visit the Piazza 9 Aprile, the Villa Comunale and the Cathedral of Taormina.
Travelers will have the opportunity to independently tour the course of Taormina, independently or with a tour guide.

The Ancient Theatre of Taormina is one of the most spectacular and best preserved monuments in Sicily. Originally built by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC.C. and later expanded by the Romans, it stands out for its extraordinary panoramic position: from the cavea you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

Made of local stone, the theatre could accommodate up to 5,000 spectators and was used for theatre, musical and gladiatorial combat. Today it is still active as a space for concerts, festivals and cultural performances, making it a living bridge between past and present.

It is an iconic symbol of Taormina and an unmissable stop for those visiting Sicily.

We will stop at a belvedere at the foot of the city, from where you can admire from above the bay of Mazzarò, Isola Bella, the Bay of Giardini Naxos with the enchanting backdrop of Mount Etna.

Continue the tour to the Volta di Castelmola or Savoca.
Castelmola is a small town located 1100m above sea level, whose name is inspired by the conformation of the large boulder in which it stands, a natural terrace built around the ruins of a Norman castle, is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Famous for its ceramics, here is founded history, art and architecture. An alternative stop to visit is Bar Turrisi, iconic for its characteristics.
You will visit the main square, Porta di Mola, the ancient castle and the church of San Nicola di Bari. In addition, the city is known worldwide for being the only producer of almond wine.

Returning to Messina, the tour will complete its adventure by discovering the main monuments of the city including the Cathedral of Messina, Church of St. Annunziata dei Catalani, Sanctuary of Christ the King and the beautiful panorama of the city and the strait.
