Detailed itinerary

1

Ana Trujillo used to live in this flop house hotel where she bragged that she could kill someone with only her shoe. We look at it, but do not enter.

2

Twenty-six years before this park was created in 2008, back in 1982, the body of 16-year old Sherry Lynn Strait was found. She was a victim of the Sunday morning slasher Carl, "Coral" Eugene Watts. Watts was one of the most prolific serial killers in US history. He murdered possibly 80 White women in potentially 4 states and Canada. He said that he could see the evil in women's eyes.

3

On August 12, 2016, Sheborah Latrice Thomas drowned in the bathtub her 5 and 7-year old children before she was about to move. She then wrapped their bodies in bedsheets tand rolled them under her neighbor's house.

4

This was the childhood home of Dr. Larry Schacht (1948 - 1978). Larry made the Kool-Aid laced cyanide poisoning at Jonestown to 918 people, including nearly 300 children in Jonestown, Guyana.

5

26-yaer old school teacher Naomi Dominguez rented this home behind the railroad tracks. On June 4, 1999 Mexican serial killer Angel Maturino Resendiz, also known as the Railroad Killer bludgeoned her to death. Resendiz killed for years as he lived a hobo's life hopping on and off trains, not staying in one place, and killing indiscriminately using any method that was convenient. He killed at least 23 people in 6 states.

6

On June 9, 2013, after a night of drinking, 44-year Old Ana Trujillo stabbed to death her boyfriend 59-year old University of Houston Professor Alf Stefan Andersson with her 5 1/2 inch blue suede high heel shoe. The TV show Snapped later featured her in one episode.

7

Marshall Herff Applewhite (1931 - 1997) was a professor and chair of the Music Department at the University of St. Thomas. He lived here in 1968. He was the leader of the suicide cult group Heaven's Gate. He plus his 38 followers committed mass suicide in Rancho Santa Fe, California.

8

The University was formed in 1947. Marshall Applewhite was the chairman of the Music Department for 5 years from 1965 to 1970. Applewhite was a bisexual who was charismatic to many of his students and followers. He and his adherents were transient and moved from state to state before becoming situated in Rancho Santa Fe, California. His Heaven's Gate cult group believed that an extraterrestrial ship trailing behind the Comet Hale-Bopp would take them away.

9

At this site in the mid-1960s, Earline Clark raised her grandson Vernon Wayne Howell (1959 - 1993). Earline's daughter Bonnie Sue Clark became a mother at the age of 14. Vernon's father was 20 years older than Bonnie Sue and abandoned his girlfriend for another teenager. He never saw his baby. Vernon began to claim he could prophesize. He moved to California. In 1990, in Panoma, California, Vernon claimed he was a direct descendant of the Biblical King David. Thus, he changed his name to David Koresh and led the Branch Davidians to their ultimate stand-off and deaths in Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993.

10

On June 23, 1965, two police officers conducted a wellness check for 81 year old Fred Rogers and his 72-year old wife Edwina Rogers. Edwina's nephew had requested the checkup as Fred and Edwina had not been seen or were answering their telephone for days. Police could not find the couple, but they did not see anything our of order, until they opened up the refrigerator. They thought they saw saw fresh slabs from a hog chopped up until they looked closer. Then they realized that they wee looking at the heads of Fred and Edwina and other body parts. All of their blood had been drained in the toilet to the sewer and their organs removed. Fred's eyes had been gouged out. This appeared to be a professional killing. Their 33-year old, hermit son, associated with the CIA, was missing and never seen or heard of again.

11

On December 17, 1998, the Railroad Killer Angel Maturino Resendiz raped, stabbed, and bludgeoned 39-year old Dr. Claudia Benton Subiria with a statue. Benton was a pediatric neurologist with the Baylor College of Medicine.

12

61 year old twice married and divorced Mary Cerruti had lived in the quiet, unassuming neighborhood of mostly Depression-era bungalows and senior citizens. She had lived here since 2001, for 14 years. It was peaceful here. Then developers moved in and began pressuring peopled to sell their homes so the developers could build multi-story condominiums and apartments. The community was changing from a tranquil area of lots of empty nesters to upscale loud, overcrowded neighborhood of yuppies and dinkies. She spoke out against the instrusion at a community meeting. Shortly thereafter, she was never seen again. Her house fell into disrepair with an overgrown lawn, and the mortage not paid. Police were called to look in on her and found a house full of stench and dead cats, but no Mary. The house was put up for auction and sold. The new owner leased it to a young Couple. The couple went into the attic, looked down an hole, and found her bones.

13

Dean Corll lived in the house in the rear from September 1971 to February 1972. David Brooks aided Corll in killing 2 boys at this location. Corll moved a lot to keep from having anyone see or hear anything that would bring suspicion upon him. Corll lived in 9 places within 3 places. He averaged about 4 months at each site. Corll along with his teenage high school dropout accomplices, Elmer Wayne Henley, and David Brooks enticed often delinquent middle and high school boys to come to Corll's homes to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana in a safe environment. Corll had torture boards to tie down his victims as he raped and later beat and killed them.

14

This is the site where the Corll Candy Store was located. Dean Corll (1939 - 1973) was a homosexual who left the military prematurely to work for his mother's candy company. He liked little boys and encouraged them to come over. He installed a pool table in the rear of the candy store so they would come more frequently and stay longer. He gave them free candy and earned the nickname of the "Candy Man." Corll had 2 hench boys, David Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley, who he would pay $100 to $200 a head for new victims to come to his various homes over the years. Brooks and Henley often aided Corll in killing their friends. Corll operated primarily in the Houston Heights neighborhood until 1973 when he moved to Pasadena and continued his killing. Corll was responsible for at least 28 murders between 1970 and 1973. However, he had earned the nickname in 1965 and he possibly murdered over 100 people counting the time from 1965 to 1970.

15

This elementary school opened in 1921. It was across the street from the Corll Candy Store. Many of his victims came from this primary school.

16

We eat lunch at one of the oldest, if not the oldest, restaraunts in Houston. This is where homosexual, and torturer, serial killers in US history Dean Corll would pickup his victims. Corll killed between 28 and 50 young White boys. You might be sitting in the same seat.
