About this experience

Discover the only trip that arrives at 7:30h in Montserrat and be a lot of time without any other tourists. We will set off from Barcelona by van from 6:05h till 6:30h. from different many different pick up places.
From mid September till mid February we will see the sunrise.
First we will visit the Abbey and the Black Madonna and we won't be faced with long lines. Then, you'll have two options:
FIRST: At 8:30h, we will start a circular hiking tour with wonderful views.
The maximum elevation gain and loss will do is 440m / 1443 feet, with 6,6km / 4,10 miles. The hiking up will take 1h. After that, during around two hours, the hike will be quite flat and then will be going down back to the Monastery area.
SECOND: You can hike wherever you want but by yourself. You can take the funicular (cable car under the cabin) from 9:30h.
I will tell you anyway which hiking routes I recommend you to do.
At 12:15h we will go back to Barcelona to arrive at 13:30h.

Detailed itinerary

We will leave Barcelona at 6:30h am to arrive in Montserrat at 7:20h. Pick-up will be betweenn 6:20 am and 6:30 am in different spots in Barcelona city

Stop 2

At 7:30 am we will walk to the Abbey to learn the history of Montserrat and at 8h we will visit the Abbey and see the Black Madonna without queuing.

At 8:30h we will start a circular hiking tour with wonderful views. If you do the full hiking tour we will arrive around 11:15h to the Monastery and you'll have some free time. The hiking to the top of the monastery, has steps during half way. If you prefer to do an easier hiking tour, I will recommend you different options.

At 12:15h we will return back to Barcelona with the van to arrive at 13:30h
