Stop 1

Located next to one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, this place so called "The pearl of the Balkan" will astonish you with its amazing breathtaking views. Throughout the centuries,Ohrid has witnessed the taste of Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, the Byzantine culture, the Ottoman Empire, but most of all, the influence of the Slavic migration, which is still present today.

In the old town, will get to the church of St.John. From there, you will have the best view of one of the largest and clearest natural tectonic lakes in Europe, the lake of Ohrid.
I will take you to the oldest spot in the old city so far - the ancient theatre from the 2nd century B.C. We will continue through the narrow streets where I will present to you 2 unique workshops for handmade paper and handmade woodcrafts.
I will show you the famous Ohrid pearl and will tell you the secret how it's made. It is going to be one unforgettable experience!

Meet another unique place next to this amazing lake. The museum of water otherwise known as the "Bay of the bones". A prehistoric place with an interesting new houses supported by 10,000 wooden piles, each anchored to the lake bed that are making this place to look so much more attractive. You will hear the story of this amazing place, the history behind of those houses and in addition, you will have a chance to walk amongst them and fell like you live in the very end of the Bronze Age, and the beginning of the Iron Age, effectively making it over 3000 years old.
This will be another opportunity for making some amazing pictures.

Stop 3

With a car will will take a nice ride in the nature, entering the national park Galichica and we will drive up to the most famous spot at 1600m from the sea level - the panoramic spot for making the most amazing pictures from the lake of Ohrid from above. Breathing the fresh air together with the sun and the colorful nature, you will experience the most beautiful views of Ohrid Lake from bird's perspective. It will be one unique drive accompanied by the information of the local guide.

Finally we will drive down from the National park to the monastery of St. Naum - the heart of Ohrid Lake - a paradise amongst the nature.
We will walk through the unique wooden houses full with souvenirs, pearls and other hand crafts, and we will visit one of the most important churches from the southern part of the Lake - St. Naum. You will hear the history behind of this magnificent place. In addition, we will have the option (extra charged) to have a small 30 min boat tour to the heart of the Lake - the Ohrid Lake springs that come from under the mountain. So magical place that will live you speechless.
After this amazing tour, you will have a free time to explore the place and perhaps have a lunch in the local restaurants on your own.
We will get back to Ohrid the afternoon.
