Stop 1: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Culture
Our first destination is Materuni Village, home to the Chagga people and known for its impressive waterfall and rich coffee traditions. After a short guided hike through green farms and banana trees, we arrive at the breathtaking Materuni Falls—crashing from over 90 meters high. There's time to take photos, dip your feet, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Then, get hands-on with a traditional coffee-making session, from picking and roasting the beans to enjoying a fresh, rich cup brewed the Chagga way. It's more than just coffee—it's a celebration, and you're part of it.
Local Lunch Included
After exploring the waterfall and the coffee experience, enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch in the village, featuring traditional Chagga dishes, before heading to the next destination.
Stop 2: Chemka Hot Springs – Hidden Oasis of Warmth and Wonder
After your village lunch experience, we journey toward one of Tanzania's most surprising natural gems—Chemka Hot Springs, known locally as "Maji Moto." Tucked away in a remote area surrounded by ancient baobab trees and open savannah, this geothermal spring feels like nature’s private spa.
Dive into sparkling, warm blue waters naturally filtered through volcanic rock. The area is peaceful and shaded, offering a perfect place to swim, float, or just relax on the soft edges. For the adventurous, a rope swing adds a bit of playful thrill, while others can simply enjoy the tranquility, birdsong, and serenity of this tropical haven.
Whether you're recharging in the water or unwinding beneath the trees, Chemka is where the stress melts away.
