Learn to think (and drink!) like a Viking on this unforgettable 3-hour walking tour through Poulsbo—affectionately known as “Little Norway.” This lively experience blends craft beverages, local history, and a dash of Norse spirit into one adventure. You’ll sample four drinks while visiting three local favorites: The Sip, Western Red Brewing, and Valhöll Brewing.
Start at The Sip with their interactive “pour your own sip” experience, then head to Western Red Brewing for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the brewhouse, where you’ll see how their bold beers are crafted.
Finally, visit Valhöll Brewing, where you’ll raise your glass for a ceremonial toast from a 4-liter Scandinavian longhorn. Along the way, take in Viking history, Norse mythology and daily life, and tales of Poulsbo’s Nordic roots.
It’s a spirited journey through culture, craft drinks, and community, perfect for curious explorers and beer lovers alike.
*Non-alcoholic beverages are available at all stops!
Guests will meet their Adventure Guide (identified with a nametag, awaiting you at your reserved section, and holding a Viking drinking horn) at 'The Sip' (formerly the 'Slippery Pig').
The Sip has 36 rotating taps of wine, beer, cider & craft soda that you will have access to on a pre-loaded $12 beverage card. Pour and choose your own! Your PNW Skald (Viking storyteller!) will explain how the taps work and set the stage for the tour: a bit about Poulsbo and a lot about Viking History! Learn how to think (and drink) like a Viking!
Learn about some of Poulsbo's most iconic sites (like the oldest structure in town, the Hostmark Building or downtown's charming Red Phone Booth) as you travel from The Sip to Western Red Brewing.
Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at Western Red Brewing, where you’ll step into the brewhouse to see how their craft beers are made. Learn about the brewing process, equipment, and unique flavors that make Western Red a local favorite.
Our tour will conclude with a pint at Valholl Brewing, Poulsbo's most "on the nose" Viking Brewery. Here guests will learn about what it meant to BE a Viking and conclude with a large pull from our legendary (4 Liter!) Scandinavian drinking horn. The only thing better than the photos will be the Viking toast you enjoy with your friends.
Guests will meet inside 'The Sip' (formerly the 'Slippery Pig'), where your guide will be identified with a 'PNW Adventures and Tours' name badge and holding an authentic 4-liter Scandinavian Drinking Horn!
