We start by collecting paddles and buoyancy aid, then with the help of transport wheels take our aluminium Canadian canoes to the waterside. After some brief instruction we launch the canoes into the lake and set off into fantastic surroundings! After a while we find our way into an isolated hidden section, then we continue on until we reach a remote island where we can rest, have refreshments and explore. With a little luck, we may even spot some local wildlife. If you have the energy we can continue paddling to a secluded beach with a traditional outdoor shelter with a place for a fire. Here we can eat (according to time of day) rest and maybe take a swim. Finally we set off in our canoes again back to Johannisholm.
After about 30 minutes we can find a hidden part of the lake often full with water lilies. Depending on the time of year we may see them in flower.
After perhaps an hour, we stop for a break on a remote island with time for some exploring and light refreshments.
Later we reach a sandy beach with a shelter and possibly a swim in the lake.
At Johannisholm our entrance is to the west of the road (E45) with large sign "Johannisholm Adventure". Drive in and keep left at the sign "Johannisholms Stugby", then just 100m further to a small car park on the left. There you can see our reception building where your guide will meet you.
