Detailed itinerary

1

Depart from Playa Blanca, Barú, on a scenic boat tour through the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean.

Along the way, you'll enjoy incredible seascapes until you reach the island of San Martín de Pajarales, home to the Cartagena Aquarium. There, you can enter for $40,000 Colombian pesos per person to observe dolphins, sharks, turtles, and other Caribbean species in a natural oceanfront setting. At the end, we returned to Playa Blanca to continue enjoying the sun and the sea. This experience does not include admission to the aquarium but does include lunch at Barú.

2
Stop 2

We depart by speedboat from Playa Blanca, Barú, take a panoramic tour of the Rosario Islands (no disembarkation) and then make a ~45–60 min stop on San Martín Island to visit the Cartagena Aquarium (additional entrance fee). Then return to Barú, concluding the tour.

3
Stop 3

At the Cartagena Oceanarium, located on San Martín de Pajarales Island, visitors will find an educational and natural experience in the heart of the Rosario Islands National Natural Park. This open-air aquarium showcases a wide variety of marine species from the Colombian Caribbean, including sharks, turtles, rays, dolphins, moray eels, and tropical fish. The exhibits combine natural tanks and oceanside pools, allowing for close-up views of the animals in a realistic environment. Short shows are also offered and, at certain times. Ideal for families, sea lovers, and those who want to learn more about marine biodiversity.

4

In Playa Blanca, Barú, travelers expect to find a typical Colombian Caribbean lunch, fresh and with local flavor. The most common dish is fried fish of the day, accompanied by coconut rice, crispy patacones, salad, and a refreshing drink like natural lemonade. There are also options such as chicken, seafood or lobster (at an additional cost). The restaurants are rustic, facing the sea, with tables under palapas or umbrellas, which makes eating part of the experience. Although it's not always included in the tour, visitors appreciate being able to choose their dish based on their current craving.
