Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Devrent Valley which is also well known as Imagination Valley. We enjoy our time here to take photographs of interesting rock formations, so called “fairy chimneys” and we listen the mysterious stories and geological explanation of our guide. We see a lot of natural rock formations in this valley which reminds us of some animals such as a camel or a snake.

2
Stop 2

Pasabag valley is the number one location where we can see biggest fairy chimney formations and all steps of the erosion. Pasabag Valley is also known as ''Monks Valley''. This name comes from mystic storiesof the monks who used to live here in their rock-cut hermit cells. Here we discover a monastic complex including a chapel dedicated to St. Simeon (Simon) that was carved into natural fairy chimney formations.

3

The longest river of Turkey, the Kızılırmak (Red River), runs through Avanos. The most famous historical feature of Avanos is its production of earthenware pottery. The ceramic clay from the old banks of the Kızılırmak has always been used throughout the ages by local artisans. We watch a demonstration of making traditional pottery and enjoy this spectacular art.

4

Goreme Open Air Museum is a monastic complex from medieval era. It is the most visited sight in Cappadocia region. As one of the biggest but certainly the best preserved Greek Orthodox monastery the cave churches here were painted with scenes of old and New Testament dating from the 10th to the 12th centuries. Outstanding conditions of these Byzantine frescoes are a must-see attraction. Apart from these cave churches here we visit communal areas of the monastic complex such as refectories, kitchens, storages etc. Goreme Open Air Museum is considered as one of the best places to see on earth for the Byzantine era frescoes.

5

Esentepe is a panoramic viewpoint where we can have glimpse of unbelievable landscape of Cappadocia, overlooking Goreme town and Red Valley across.

6
Stop 6

Uçhisar Castle is a stunning photo break where you have a breathtaking view of the castle and the fantastic cone-shaped rock formations surrounding it. We take our time to enjoy this fantastic scenery and walk around to get amazing opportunities for photography.
