Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

St. Peter's Basilica is one of the most iconic and visited places in the world, located in the heart of Vatican City.
The tour usually starts outside the basilica, where you can admire the grandeur of the facade designed by Carlo Maderno and the famous colonnade by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, symbolizing the Church’s embrace of the faithful and then a walk inside to admire the works of Michelangelo and Bernini.

2
Stop 2

The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore is one of the four papal basilicas in Rome and is located in the Esquiline district. It is renowned for its architectural beauty and artistic treasures.
: The mosaic coverings are among the oldest and most important in Rome. A notable example is the mosaic cycle of the apse, which represents the Madonna and Child, flanked by angels and saints.
The high altar is surmounted by a canopy and houses the sacred relic of the Holy Cradle, believed to have been used for the Infant Jesus. This altar is the focal point of the basilica during liturgical celebrations.

3
Stop 3

The Archbasilica of San Giovanni in Laterano is one of the most important churches in Rome and the Pope's cathedral, as well as the main basilica of Catholicism.
San Giovanni in Laterano is the cathedral of the Pope and represents the seat of the diocese of Rome. This basilica is considered "mother and leader of all the churches in the world".
The basilica was founded in the fourth century by Constantine the Great and is the first church built in the West dedicated to Jesus Christ. It was consecrated in 324 AD.C.
Over the centuries, it has undergone numerous restorations and alterations due to fires and earthquakes. The current appearance dates mainly from the Baroque era, with neoclassical influences.

4
Stop 4

The abbey was founded in the fourth century AD.C. of Constantine the Great, on the place where according to tradition St. Paul the Apostle was buried.
The basilica has undergone considerable renovations over the centuries, especially after a devastating fire in 1823, which destroyed much of the original structure. The reconstruction work was completed over several years, while maintaining the architectural imprint of the Roman period.
The Abbey of San Paolo fuori le Mura represents a meeting point between art, history and spirituality, and is a place that offers visitors the opportunity for reflection and contemplation, immersed in an atmosphere of great beauty and religious significance.
