Detailed itinerary

We will leave from Varenna along the promenade of lovers (If chosen the meeting point in Varenna)

We'll start from Menaggio and turn right south. (If chosen the meeting point in Menaggio)

Leaving Varenna we can admire the walk of the lovers, a short pedestrian path that leads from the Varenna pier to the center of the village; a cantilevered walkway over the water from which you can admire the lake and the mountains.

We will then pass by Villa Cipressi, a prestigious complex of ancient buildings and beautiful gardens enriched by a magnificent botanical garden, with staircases and terraces that descend to the lake.

Next we will meet the Villa, one of the main historical environmental landscape sites of the territory, thanks also to its privileged position. The complex consists of the villa itself, now transformed into a Museum is also home to an internationally known Convention Center, and the beautiful Botanical Garden that surrounds it, extending for almost 2 km following the shore of the lake.

We will then equip the lake and head towards Punta Spartivento, the watershed of Lake Como, the extreme tip of the Larian triangle that divides the two branches of the lake. It enjoys a wonderful view towards the north.

Next stop is Bellagio, known for its cobbled streets, elegant buildings and the Paarco of Villa Serbelloni, an 18th century garden terrace overlooking the lake. Nearby, there are the Tower of the Arts, home to exhibitions and shows, and the Basilica of St. James from the Romanesque era. Near the rocky beach of Loppia, there is the Museum of Navigational Instruments, which displays sundials and compasses.
With the 4-hour tour you can get off and visit the village.
(Bellagio is among the meeting points for the start of the tour)

Coming down from Bellagio we can admire the park of Villa Serbelloni

We will pass by the famous Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, a 5 star luxury hotel, once also called Castello di Bellagio.

Stop 10 Pass by

The English gardens of 1815, enriched by sculptures rich in rare and exotic plants, there are ancient trees, camellia hedges, forests of azaleas and giant rhododendrons, stones and monuments, boats and relics of historical and artistic value.

We will then reach the west coast of the Como branch to arrive at Tremezzo, a well-known village full of hotels overlooking Bellagio. (Tremezzo is between the meeting points for the start of the tour)

We will then admire Villa Carlotta famous both for the art collections kept inside, and for the vast botanical garden that surrounds it.

Sailing south we will meet the imposing building in an eclectic style between neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic.

The Gulf of Venus is the suggestive stretch of Lake Lenno, the inlet following the promontory of Lavedo that on its southern summit sees the splendid villa from the Balbianello

On a peninsula from which you can enjoy enchanted views of the Lake, this elegant and romantic 18th century mansion and its amazing garden have hosted writers and travelers, today you can visit the Gardens and the villa, in the 4-hour tour you can go down and visit the gardens. Villa la Cassinella is a private residence on the western shore of Lake Como, a few hundred meters from Villa del Balbianello. The whole estate is immersed in large perfectly maintained gardens.

The Villa is a historic residence in Ossuccio on Lake Como. The two-hour tour at this point crosses the lake to skirt the eastern shore and take you along the banks of Lezzeno

Ossuccio is a village of pre-Roman origin. In its hamlet of Ospedaletto rises the famous bell tower of the church of Santa Maria Maddalena. in front of the village is the Comacina island
