Your journey will take you to the Boyana Church - a unique museum with orthodox frescoes of saints and unique images of the local aristocracy, which mark a peak in the painting school of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. The unique frescoes for the era mark the beginning of the pre-Renaissance period in painting in Europe in 1259, 50 years before Giotto in Italy.
After the church visit, you will have free time for a lunch break and then you will spend the rest of the day at the lake by the largest water reservoir in Bulgaria.
Situated between two mountains, the area around the lake has a picturesque eco-trail, conditions for non-motorized water sports such as boating, kayaking and water cycling, as well as a unique complex with healing mineral water. The mineral water is crystal clear and extremely suitable for the treatment of joint, bone, urological, gynecological and neurological diseases. The water temperature in the pools is between 35°C and 39°C, depending on the season and weather conditions. The spa complex has an outdoor and indoor pool with mineral water, a sauna, a steam bath and a jacuzzi. The stay in the spa complex is about 3.5 hours
The expected return in your hotel is at 18:00.
