The Republic of Cospaia (Republica de' Cošpäja in Alto Tiberino Umbrian) was an independent microstate that existed from 1441 to 1826 due to an error in the tracing of the borders between the Papal States and the Republic of Florence (later the Grand Duchy of Tuscany)[2]. Today Cospaia is a hamlet of the municipality of San Giustino, in the province of Perugia.

The apartments available to guests have been obtained from the old farmhouses carefully renovated and located within a radius of one kilometer from the castle. Inside the castle there is the restaurant and the halls used for conferences, weddings or special events.
